There had been groups of emperors and civilians divided in their religious faiths because of the advent of Judaism and Christianity and the doing away with worshipping of the Roman gods and goddesses mostly (Matthews, Noble & Platt, 2014). However, emperors like Antiochus IV had been strong with the faith of worshipping idols of gods and goddesses and therefore, had tried to make most people believe and follow his religious ideals (Matthews, Noble & Platt, 2014). There had been struggle of physical warfare between the Jews and the Romans to ensure that the Second Temple would be recaptured from the king who had usurped it (Matthews, Noble & Platt, 2014).
